Medellin is an incredibly complex city, with a very wide variety of different areas and neighborhoods. From the historic, congested and industrial city centre to the tense calmness and superb views of the high comunas. With the mountains of Antioquia always in the background. To further understand the city, during my stay there I travelled around the city and took photographs of all these different parts of the cities. 

 

The following images are organised from the lower part of the valley and the city centre, up the slopes to my site in La Sierra. I hope to offer the viewer a journey through the strong experiential, spatial and social differences that define this city.
